This article reports results of a subjective assessment of the quality of vision in patients who have had LASIK surgery. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the quality of life of patients before and after LASIK surgery using a questionnaire MOS SF-36. The study involved 20 patients. The age of the patients ranged from 18 to 50 years. The average age of respondents was 27.5 years. As for gender, women dominated a little bit ― 55% (11 people). In addition to standard ophthalmic examination all patients answered the questionnaire of MOS SF-36. Questionnaire MOS SF-36 is a comprehensible method for assessing quality of life of operated patients. According to the test results quality of life indicators of patients who have underwent LASIK surgery are satisfactory on all scales of the questionnaire.
Key words: quality of life, questionnaire SF-36, excimer laser correction, LASIK.
