The article provides a brief overview of a rare form of autoimmune inflammatory-demyelinating disease of the central nervous system — optoneuromyelitis. A clinical case of the course of Devic’s disease, not involving the optic nerves pathological process, is presented. The diagnosis is made on the basis of modern diagnostic criteria and research methods. The positive experience of using targeted therapy with long-term immunosuppression, against the background of a recurring course of the disease, is described.
Key words: demyelinating diseases, Devic’s disease, AQUAPORIN-4, targeted therapy.
