The results of the removal of foreign bodies, penetrating the posterior pole of the eyeball, filled in silicone oil, which was performed in 14 patients, are presented in the article. In all cases foreign bodies were successfully removed without intraoperative complications. Anatomical attachment of the retina was achieved in 13 patients (92,9%). The proposed surgical technique allowed to get the expected visual acuity in 7 cases (50%), visual acuity higher than the forecasted ― in 2 cases (14,3%), and visual acuity lower than the forecasted ― in 5 cases (35,7%).
