This article gives the diagnostic results of 138 patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD), 117 patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS), and 21 patients with stable angina (SA). Cases of anxiety (A) or/and depression (D) were diagnosed by HADS questionnaire. 6-hydroxymelatonin (MC) (ng/ml) was defined in urine by high-performance liquid chromatography. A were found in 35,3%; D — 17,6%; A & D — 47,1% with IHD. A & D combination was 2 times more common in unstable angina (UA) (34%) than in myocardial infarction (MI) (17%). People with A & D had much higher incidence of complications in case of MI (69,7%) as compared with UA (16,7%). Median of MC was found to be lower in MI (0,31) than in UA and SA (0,34). MC maximal level was revealed in UA patients without A & D (2,2) both, with complications (0,52 vs. 0,26) and without complications (3,75 vs. 0,25; р=0,017). In case of MI patients MC level was higher in cases without A & D, but significant in complicated course in cases with A & D (0,31 vs. 0,14; р=0,032). In patients with ACS presence and severity of the A and D correlated with MC level.
