Objective: To evaluate the efficiency of antimicrobial drops Okomistin® in the complex terapy of chronic blepharo-conjunctivitis. Material and methods: 80 patients (160 eyes) with chronic blepharo-conjunctivitis were observed. Demodicosis was found on 72 eyelids, the growth of saprophytic microflora on 28 eyelids. The complex of preventive and treatment methods consisted of daily compresses of Calendula water solution, instillation of eye drops Okomystin®, and tear substitution eye drops. The ultrasonic micro massage of the eyelid was performed on eyes in the research group, and in case of demodicosis d’arsonvalization of the eyelid was performed. Results: Rapid relief of acute illness was observed in the eyes of patients for whom physical therapy was performed. Application of Okomistin® allows to achieve sterilization of conjunctiva inoculation in 3-5 days. The combined therapy helps to restore the function of the meibomian glands, and to achieve the long-term remission of the disease. Conclusions: The combined use of the Okomistin, physiotherapy, hygiene procedures, tear substitution eye drops is an effective and safe method of complex therapy of the chronic blepharo-conjunctivitis.
