The study included 154 children with different clinical forms of herpetic infections. The article presents the characteristics of clinical and laboratory features of anemia in children with herpes disease. Ferro-kinetic parametersare estimated, which prove the dominance ofchronic diseaseanemia (CDA) over other causes of iron deficiency. The main differential-diagnostic criteria are discussed. The dynamics of the hemoglobin level after antiviral therapy is presented.
Key words: children, herpetic infections, anemia of chronic disease, ferro-kinetics, antiviral therapy.
