This article is devoted to the analysis of treatment experience of 2092 patients with obstructive jaundice in 2014-2018 in the departments of surgery and endoscopy of the Republican Clinical Hospital. Obstructive jaundice of benign genesis was observed in 1883 (90%) cases, treatment was carried out in two stages. In the first stage, in most cases (1761), endoscopic transpapillary interventions were performed. Complications after manipulations were observed in 16 (0.9%) patients, mortality — 1 (0.06%) case. Great importance in management of patients with obstructive jaundice and prevention of post-manipulation complications was attributed to complex pathogenetically substantiated conservative therapy.
Key words: Endoscopy Department, obstructive jaundice, endoscopic transpapillary interventions, prevention of complications.
