    The retrospective study included 6535 cases of brachial plexus blockade (BPS) in various modifications. The average age of the patients was 42.5±15.5 years. Anesthetic risk was consistent with I-III ASA. 1062 brachial plexus blockades by axillary approach was performed. Using the neurostimulator, 653 interscalenum brachial plexus blockades were performed. Ultrasound imaging with a short-focus linear sensor with a frequency of 8.5 MHz with orientation to relatively large anatomical structures (shadows of vessels, muscles, fascia) was performed at 1536 brachial plexus blockades. Analysis of the complications after performing various technical options for brachial plexus blockades showed that using the ultrasound imaging, the safest and most effective format of anesthesia was provided.
