    Caloric vestibular stimulation is a relatively unknown means of brain stimulation. It is distinguished for technical simplicity, non-invasiveness and safety. He paper presents a review of publications on using this method in treating mental disorders. It is shown that caloric vestibular stimulation may be effective for reducing various psychopathological symptomatic, especially related to anosognosia, but its effects are short-term. A conclusion is made that he method is promising but further research is necessary.
