High blood pressure is referred to the classic psychosomatic diseases. Psychological tension is one of the components of a complex of pathogenetic mechanisms of arterial hypertension. The object of the study was to analysis the anxiodepressive syndrome in pregnant women with high blood pressure. 100 patients were examined, where 50 women were included in a group of women with high blood pressure, 50 practically healthy pregnant women were included in a control group. Anxiodepressive syndrome was evaluated by hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS). Healthy women had more frequent occurrence of subclinical severe depression and more powerful anxiety as compared to pregnant women with high blood pressure. It is recommended to apply HADS in practice for identifying and assessing the severity of anxiodepressive syndrome in order to correct it.
