Fetal growth retardation plays a key role in the structure of perinatal morbidity and mortality. In Russia rate of pregnancy complications is high (ranging from 3 to 24% of full-term and 18 to 46% of premature newborns). The article describes various methods of treatment and prediction of fetal growth retardation. The inclusion of a large number of indicators in analysis will increase the accuracy in the formation of groups at risk of fetal growth retardation, make prevention of fetal growth retardation more effective.
Key words: fetal growth retardation, risk factors, prognosis.
