The article describes the main methods of suturing the bronchus. The safest methods of bronchial closure are manual and mechanical stapling with BS apparatus. Using such devices as WS (wound stapling) and TL/TLH significantly increases the amount of bronchopleural fistula. This is due to the deterioration of the blood supply to the bronchus and, respectively, poor wound healing.

Key words: lung cancer, bronchopleural fistula, surgical treatment.
