A unique case of a combination of scar pregnancy and normal uterine pregnancy at a gestation period of 17 weeks is presented. The scar pregnancy has provoked an abruption of the normally located placenta with heavy bleeding. The course of diagnostics and minimally invasive organ-saving treatment is described with subsequent ultrasound-control up to the moment of resorption of scar pregnancy and restoration of the scar.

Key words: scar pregnancy, ultrasound investigation, uterine artery embolisation.
