The article presents results of studying the features of miocardium remodeling in 116 patients on chronic hemodialysis. The obtained data show the differences in structural-functional changes in myocardium depending on the presence or absence of the water-excretion function. Patients without dieresis have more prominent diastolic dysfunction of the left ventricular, manifested in the increased diastolic volume (p<0,05) and left atrium enlargement(p<0,01). Patients with preserved water-excretion function showed hypertrophy processes with significant enlargement of myocardial mass (p<0,05). Ultrafiltration volume has a significant effect on structural-functional parameters of heart, especially in patients without water-excretion function.

Key words: hemodialysis, left ventricular hypertrophy, diuresis, ultrafiltration.
