The article analyzes the status of health of fetus and newborn in women with chronic pyelonephritis who underwent an advanced pregravid preparation. Two observation groups were included into the clinical study: group I (n=520) consisted of pregnant women with chronic pyelonephritis who did not undergo the advanced pregravid preparation, group II (n=278) consisted of pregnant women with chronic pyelonephritis who underwent the advanced pregravid preparation. The comparison group is represented by 50 practically healthy pregnant women. We have identified an improvement in the state of fetal health and a decrease in the disease incidence of newborns in women who underwent the improved pregravid preparation.
Key words: pregnancy, chronic pyelonephritis, fetus, newborn.
