Removal of the eye is a heavy psychological trauma for a person and in this situation the solution is a good cosmetic result of prosthetics, which is directly dependent on the quality of surgical intervention. The article gives the results of surgical treatment after the use of the bone orbital implant of two types: a liner of standard cylindrical shape and a new allogeneic cone-shaped liner with a rounded rear surface and through channels in the front that allow to fix extraocular muscles with the implant. Clinical group of 39 patients is divided into 2 groups depending on the type of orbital implant. The results of surgical treatment and evaluation of cosmetic parameters of the prosthesis are analyzed. The selected orbital implant in accordance with the parameters of the orbit creates the conditions for individual approach to each patient, facilitates the technique of the operation for the surgeon and provides social and cosmetic rehabilitation of patients with anophthalmos.
