The article presents the analysis of clinical efficiency of the canned «Material for cornea restoration», produced by «Eyelab» eye bank, for different types of keratoplasty. 87 operations were carried out, 74.7% of them with femtolaser. Penetrating corneal transplantation was performed in 85% of patients, FS-DSAEK ― in 9.2%, FS-DALK ― in 5.7% of cases. We used «Material» with the average density of endothelial cells (DEC) of 2658±374 cells/mm2. In the majority of patients, the graft epithelization was observed in 1 week after the operation, transparency was restored by the end of the 2nd week after the operation. However, in 20.7% of cases, mainly with leukomas of 3rd and 4th categories, the uneven growth of epithelium and regression of the «Material» edema lasted for 2 to 6 weeks. In 1 year after the operation, a high biological result was achieved in all patients after FS-DSAEK and FS-DALK, and also after penetrating keratoplasty in uncomplicated leukomas. In patients with complicated leukomas, the transparent engraftment was achieved in 61.7-78.3% of cases, depending on the severity of the cornea lesion. Accordingly, the losses of DEC after FS-DSAEK were 4.5-32%, after penetrating keratoplasty on uncomplicated leukomas ― 19.1-38.3%, on leukomas of 3rd and 4th categories ― 44.5-65%. The highest functional result was noted in patients after selective methods of keratoplasty and after penetrating keratoplasty on uncomplicated leukomas (from 0.2 to 0.9). In general, the high efficiency of the bioimplant and the dependence of its viability on the severity of the initial state of the eye and the complexity of the operation were noted.
Key words: cornea, leukoma, keratoplasty.
