    The article shows the diagnostic value of the method of determining the retinal visual acuity in predicting the combined operative treatment in patients with pathological myopia. The applied method of treatment resulted in a higher visual acuity compared with preoperative data.

    Key words: high myopia, pathological myopia, retinal visual acuity, macular vitreomacular traction syndrome, vitrectomy.
