The purpose — to compare the data on localization of stenosis in coronary arteries with segmental division of left ventricular myocardium.
Materials and methods. Analysis of medical literature devoted to interpretation of results of coronary angiography taking into account the schemes of myocardium segmental division and the method of comparing the stenosis localization with myocardium segmental division.
Results. The proposed method of comparing the coronary angiography results with the scheme of segmental division of left ventricular myocardium makes it possible to standardize the description of the structure and functions of the left ventricular in terms of the main diagnostic methods which use the myocardium segmental division.
Conclusions. The practical application of this method enables to directly correlate the localization of coronary stenosis with those segments of myocardium whose functional state may be impaired.
Key words: coronary angiography, coronary atherosclerosis, myocardial segments.
