Psychological characteristics of patients with chronic urticaria

The article presents the results of psychological examination of 122 patients with chronic urticaria (CU). The psychological examination included the assessment of the functional status, cognitive functions and social significance of the disease. Analysis of results showed that CU has a significant negativeinfluence on general state, activity and mood of patients. It is shown that the social and economic spheresof patients’life were significantly changed. Besides, attention, flexibility of thinking and short-term memory in patients with CU were reduced.
