The article presents modern data on the role of vitamin D in the human body, its metabolic pathways and possible violations, leading to its deterioration, depending on age, living conditions, genetic features. Availability of vitamin D in 334 infants from different social groups living in the Republic of Tatarstan, and the relationship with the social welfare of the family, age, feeding type and intake of vitamin D have been studied.
Key words: children, vitamin D, family, medical and social risk, feeding, preparation of vitamin D.
