The features of the birth course were studied in 570 women, including 520 with chronic pyelonephritis. A high incidence of premature birth and complications in labor in pregnant women with chronic pyelonephritis was established. Each third woman with chronic pyelonephritis had an anomaly of labor with a predominance of weakness in the first and second periods of labor. Also, these patients had a high traumatism of the soft tissues of the birth canal and a high frequency of abdominal delivery.

Key words: childbirth, labor, chronic pyelonephritis.
