The article presents the results of a study of ophthalmologic changes in the different periods of observation on the background of antiviral therapy in patients with chronic hepatitis C. According to the study, it is proved that the HCV-infection has an adverse effect on the course and frequency of ocular disorders, which are enhanced by antiviral therapy; in a number of cases they have transitory nature. Therefore, patients with chronic hepatitis C require dynamic observation by an ophthalmologist during the antiviral therapy and after its completion.

Key words: antiviral therapy, ophthalmic disorders, chronic hepatitis C.
