The article presents the new method (patent of the Russian Federation №2615285, 2017) of surgical restoration of a damaged Achilles tendon. This lesion can be treated only surgically. The operation consists of joining the torn ends of the tendon with a tendon seam. Treating of the old breakages of Achilles tendon is most complicated. Analysis of the remote results of treatment with standard approaches, which were not always satisfactory, led to developing a new technique for restoring the old breakages of Achilles tendon. The article presents the description of the technique.
