The study presents the results of microbial contamination of erosive and ulcerative lesions of the oral lichen planus. The density of the bacterial, periodontal-pathogenic аnd Candida contamination in patients with associated periodontal foci of infection has been shown to increase. The dependence between the high degree of microbial contamination of the epithelial defects of varying depth and current activity of inflammatory and destructive processes in periodontal tissues has been identified.
Key words: lichen planus, periodontal focus of infection, bacterial, periodontal-pathogenic, Candida microflora
