The article presents issues of etiology and pathogenesis of the syphilis of central nervous system. Certain peculiarities of modern and classic forms of neurosyphilis are described. Clinical symptoms of different stages of neurosyphilis are described in details: asymptomatic meningitis, meningitis and meningoencephalitis, vascular symptomatic complexes and stages of gumma formation. Special attention is paid to instrumental and laboratorial diagnostics of neurosyphilis. The treatment patterns in the early and late neurosyphilis are described.
