The article presents information on vitiligo — a heterogeneous disease with a polygenic mode of inheritance, which is a skin idiopathic chromatopathy. The data of the study of the effectiveness of topical treatment of vitiligo patients are given. A statistically significant decrease was registered in the value of the Wyman index from 270 to 168 points after a course of narrow-band (311 nm) phototherapy in conjunction with gel vitiskin, indicating a decrease in disease activity under the effect of the treatment. The index therapeutic effect was 37.8%. The narrowband phototherapy was more effective in vulgar and akral forms of vitiligo. The obtained data allow to recommend such complex therapy in an outpatient setting.
Key words: generalized vitiligo, external therapy, therapy with narrowband medium wave radiation with a wavelength of 311 nm, the Wyman index of skin lesions severity
