Modern approaches to surgical treatment of full-thickness large idiopathic macular holes (literature review)

The article provides a review of national and foreign literature on the current aspects of surgical treatment of large-scale macular holes. The current surgical procedures for the treatment of macular holes, their advantages and disadvantages are described; data on the anatomical and functional results of the use of these techniques are given. The prospects of further improvement and development of surgery for resistant macular holes are considered.
