There are long-term outcomes of medical rehabilitation of 30 eyes of 21 patients with congenital aniridia. The features and capabilities of artificial iris-lens diaphragm implantation are presented; methods of prevention and correction of complications are prepoused. Recommendations for managment of such patients in the pre- and postoperative period are done.
Key words: congenital aniridia, medical rehabilitation, artificial iris-lens diaphragm, aniridic keratopathy
