The remote results of «Artificial iris+IOL» complex implantation are presented. Eleven eyes of 6 patients with congenital aniridia were operated from 2007 till 2014. They included 1 man and 5 women, aged 16 to 57. The average follow-up period was 34.6 months. Congenital aniridia was associated with cataract, ptosis of the upper eyelid, and nystagmus. The visual acuity before surgery was 0,07 on average. All patients underwent cataract removal and «Artificial iris+IOL» complex implantation on the anterior capsule of lens without any additional sutural fixation. During all follow-up period no signs of dislocation or degeneration of the complex were observed. Visual acuity improved in all cases up to 0,31 on average. In 5 cases the conservatively stopped hypertension was observed. One patient underwent 3 anti-glaucoma interventions. All patients use artificial tears. The cornea was intact in 10 cases, in 1 case the stroma and epithelium were changed due to hypertension. All patients were satisfied with the cosmetic effect. One female patient got pregnant and delivered a child 60 months after the operation. The IOP increase is the most frequent complication in postoperative period, which requires monitoring of IOP level and corneal status control.

Key words: congenital aniridia, artificial iris implantation, remote results.
