The article presents the results of LASIK astigmatism correction after penetrating keratoplasty in patients with keratoconus. At present there is insufficient number of research to evaluate the effectiveness of the method in this group of patients, and the existing research usually have the follow-up period of less than one year. After the retrospective analysis of outcomes of postkeratoplastic astigmatism laser correction in patients with keratoconus, a conclusion was made that the visual acuity decreased in the mean of 1.5 years postop. In 2 years of follow-up period, the astigmatism magnitude was comparable to that prior the refractive surgery. Possible prerequisites for the regression of LASIK functional result after penetrating keratoplasty for keratoconus in the long-term period are considered.

Key words: keratoconus, penetrating keratoplasty, astigmatism, LASIK.
