65 patients with spine and spinal cord trauma were observed. It was revealed that the emerging metabolic disorders, expressed by deficiency of protein, energy and mineral resources, are associated with the severity and level of damage to the spinal cord, caused by developing degenerative changes in the neuromotor apparatus, lead to distorted regulation of vital functions by initiating decreased bone regeneration.

Key words: vertebral spinal injury, metabolic disorders, bone regeneration.
