The research is based on the analysis of the response of children with hip joint pathology to the use of internal bone clamps in the form of needles, angulate plates and screws with nanostructured superhard coating of titanium and hafnium nitrides. The main group included 16 patients operated with implants with the reviewed coating, and the comparison group included 15 children with osteosynthesis with clamps made of stainless steel 12Х18Н9Т without coating. Hematological and biochemical analysis were carried out for each patient before the operation, 1 and 10 days after the operation and before removing the needles from the wing of ilium. The main focus of the research was on the possible toxic reaction of the children’s organisms to the coating. At the above days there were no deviations from the normal indicators. The response to both types of clamps was adequate to the severity of the operation. Thus, the comparative analysis 6-8 weeks after the operation showed no pathological response to the implants with coating of titanium and hafnium nitride, which allows to recommend them for clinical practice.
Key words: osteosynthesis, body response, blood composition, nanostructured coating, titanium and hafnium nitrides.
