The research of conservative treatment methods of Legg ― Calve ― Perthes disease is topical as, on the one hand, such therapy is widely spread due to the ease of its implementation. On the other hand, some methods may have been forgotten, while effectiveness of others may remain unproved. The authors present the literature review, where they classified the current treatment methods according to their effect, history of development and effectiveness from the viewpoint evidence-based medicine.

Key words: Legg ― Calve ― Perthes disease, non-operative treatment, epiphyseal aseptic necrosis of upper end of femur in children.
