The article presents the results of a survey of 103 HIV-infected patients. The considered issues are the mycological research of all patients with clinical diagnosis of meningitis and meningoencephalitis. The characteristic is presented of bacterioscopic, strain and immunological methods of research of the clinical material obtained from patients, namely CSF and serum. New data are obtained of the selection pathogenic fungus of Cryptococcus from HIV-infected patients. Frequency of Cryptococcus allocation is associated with age and sex of patients, as well as with the clinical pattern of the disease. The role of cryptococcosis as AIDS-marking disease is proved. The monitoring of the antimycotics sensitivity was held when choosing the Cryptococcus treatment.
