  • Femtolazer-assisted facoemulsification of cataracts of various density

     The results were analyzed of femtolaser-assisted phacoemulsification of cataracts with preliminary determination of the acoustic density of the lens in 22 patients (25 eyes). In cataracts with acoustic density up to 35 Db (18 eyes) according to UBM data, phacofragmentation was performed in the Medium mode (8 μJ). With acoustic density of the lens core above 35 Db (7 eyes), phacofragmentation was performed in Hard mode (10 μJ). In 94.4% and 87.5% in these groups femtophacofragmentation with high refractive and functional results was sufficient.
