The study evaluated the clinical and functional results of the use of open corneal ring 359° in the treatment of keratoconus using a femtosecond laser for the formation of an intrastromal tunnel. 57 eyes of 51 patients were operated with keratoconus of 2-3 stage. Follow-up comprised 24 months. After the open corneal ring implantation, the cylindrical component of refraction decreased by 70.5%, the spherical component ― by 83%. The functional results showed significant improvement of visual acuity without correction by 33% and with correction ― by 40%.

Key words: keratoconus, intralamellar keratoplasty, implantation of 359° open corneal ring.
