The article presents a clinical analysis of the peculiarities of femtosecond laser-assisted extraction of complicated cataract with lens subluxation of degree 2 in 10 patients aged 50-82 years. The steps of forming corneal incisions, anterior capsulorhexis and nuclear disruption were performed using femtosecond laser of LenSx (Alcon, USA) system. The delicacy of the method made it possible to exclude additional pressure on the lens ligamentous apparatus at the initial stages of extraction of complicated cataract with lens subluxation and to reduce the risks during phacoemulsification at subsequent stages.Elastic posterior chamber IOLs were implanted in 10 patients (10 eyes). However because of the presence of the initial lens subluxation of degree 2 in these patients, the method of lacing intraocular lens to the iris was used to fix it. During the follow-up period (6 months) the position of unit «intraocular lens ― capsular bag» remained correct and stable. This experience proves that in patients with cataract complicated by lens subluxation of degree 2 the technique of cataract extraction using femtolaser followed by fixation of the unit «intraocular lens ― capsular bag» according to the proposed method can be used.
Key words: cataract, lens subluxation, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract extraction.
