The article presents an analysis of the work results of the Coloproctology Department of State Autonomous Health Care Institution “Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan” for 2017-2018 in providing emergency care for patients with complicated colorectal cancer. 62 (95.4%) patients admitted for emergency indications were subject to surgical treatment. Of these, 51 (82.3%) underwent radical removal of primary tumor with regional lymphadenectomy in amount of D2 — D3. Combined intervention without restoring intestinal tube continuity was conducted for four (7.8%) people. The postoperative period was complicated in 16 (25.8%) patients; the postoperative mortality rate in patients with complicated colorectal cancer amounted to 12.3%. The necessary conditions for the provision of surgical care to patients with complicated colorectal cancer in a non-core institution are: presence of qualified coloproctologists with the oncology certificates, multidisciplinary approach to patients management, and close interaction with the oncology dispensary to ensure continuity in provision of the entire range of medical care for an oncological patient.
Key words: Department of Coloproctology, complicated colorectal cancer, surgical interventions.
