The article presents data of a multicenter study of effectiveness of neuroprotective treatment and its effect on the quality of life of patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Evaluation of dynamics of visual acuity, intraocular pressure, summary fields of vision, photostress test, contrast sensitivity and quality of life (according to the NEIVFQ-25 questionnaire) in patients with traditional neuroprotective therapy of glaucoma and with the additional application of Retinalamin, is made. Data on the improvement of visual functions in patients who have received treatment with the test drug were obtained. Improving the quality of life with a single course of Retinalamin (intramuscular) was established in patients with POAG at all stages (I-III). In the group with traditional neuroprotective treatment, an improvement in the quality of life (p <0.05) at the end of the study was noted only in patients in II B and C subgroups.
Key words: glaucoma, quality of life, questionnaire NEIVFQ-25, photostress test, Retinalamin, neuroprotection, contrast sensitivity.
