Diagnostic quality of acute poisoning by ambulance doctors

The article represents the results of the researches of diagnostics quality in acute poisoning by chemicals in 446 patients by ambulance doctors in Kazan, by studying of the frequency of discrepancy in diagnosis between ambulance doctors and toxicologists of the hospital diagnostic departments. The frequency of mistakes made by the ambulance doctors in acute poisoning diagnosis was 64.1%. In the studied group of patients there was a direct correlation of the index of diagnosis discrepancy and the frequency of impaired consciousness in groups of toxic substances. Using the questionnaire survey of doctors, it was found that in the diagnostics of acute poisoning by ambulance doctors is primarily based on anamnesis data. According to diagnostic results in the diagnostic department, in 90% of cases suspicious for acute poisoning, the correct etiological diagnosis could be established using the available pre-hospital methods of diagnostics.
