Objective: to assess the blocking function of lacrimal obturators manufactured in Russia.

Materials and methods. The results of a study of 4 patients with blocked lacrimal ducts were analyzed. All patients underwent dacryoscintigraphy, then the data of the resulting images were interpreted.

Results. The effectiveness of lacrimal obturators was proved from the point of view of their blocking function, as well as the practical significance of dacryoscintigraphy in determining the level of obstruction of the tear ducts and their functional state.

Conclusion. The method of lacrimation blocking is highly effective; the obturators of this design are quite competitive. Dacryoscintigraphy made it possible to clearly evaluate the kinetics of tear fluid.

Key words: dacryoscintigraphy, dry eye syndrome, lacrimal blockage, lacrimal obturators.
