The paper presents the comparative results of penetrating and posterior (endothelial) keratoplasty in patients with epithelial-endothelial dystrophy of retina, using the «Material for the corneal recovery» by «iLab» LLC. The obtained data show the advantages of endothelial keratoplasty as a less invasive technique, which results in shorter rehabilitation period, less risk of intra- and post-operative complications, and higher functional results. The use of pre-cut tissue technology in the eye bank for the posterior keratoplasty greatly facilitates the surgical process.
Key words: posterior lamellar endothelial keratoplasty, bullous keratopathy, eye bank, material for the corneal recovery, descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty.
