A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of various types of drug therapy for adolescent boys 14,5–15,5 years old with a constitutional growth and pubertal delay (CGIP) was made.
Material and methods. 50 patients diagnosed with CGIP were examined. Indicators of physical and sexual development are clinically and laboratory-evaluated before and after the course of puberty initiating therapy in groups of patients receiving testosterone drugs or anabolic steroids. Results. It is shown that the use of stimulating puberty therapy has a beneficial effect on the start of puberty. A comparative characteristic of the effectiveness of various options for stimulation. The conclusion. The best results of therapy were obtained with the use of low doses of testosterone, which is confirmed by clinical and hormonal parameters that determine the onset of puberty without registering side effects.
Key words: growth inhibition, puberty delay, testosterone, inhibin B.
