Clinical experience of correction of corneal astigmatism in patients with thin cornea with the aid of femtosecond laser system with integrated optical coherence tomography and means of cyclotorsion consideration

In the article are presented and evaluated the results of clinical observation of 7 patients (12 eyes) with compound myopic astigmatism combined with thin cornea, who For the patients was performed surgery ― femtosecond astigmatic keratotomy (Femto-AK) with photorefractive keratectomy (PRK). Efficiency, safety of performance of Femto-AK on a femtosecond laser unit with an integrated optical coherence tomography (OCT) system and a cyclotrial accounting system was proved. The operation of Femto-AK combined with subsequent correction of residual ametropy by topo-FRK is an effective, safe technology that allows the correction of astigmatism in patients with a thin cornea.
