The article presents a clinical case of ring-shaped lichen planus. Due to the fact that lichen planus is a psychosomatic illness, which has an immunological basis in its development, we conducted a comprehensive examination of the patient using clinical, psychometric, laboratory and immunological methods of diagnosis. We revealed the symptoms of anxiety and depression in assessing the scale of Beck Depression Inventory and the Hamilton anxiety scale, disturbances in the immune status in the form of increased rates of CD3+, CD4+, T-cells, increase in the coefficient of T-helper/T-suppressor, declines in CD 20+ B cells. We appointed a comprehensive treatment based on the identified disturbances and the clinical picture of the disease. After the treatment we recorded normalization of Beck Depression Inventory, Hamilton Anxiety Scale, components of adaptive immunity and clinical symptoms of the disease.
Key words: lichen planus, annular form, diagnosis, treatment, immunomodulator, immune system.
