The purpose of the work is to identify the clinical and immunological correlations in case of myofascial pain.
Material and methods. A comprehensive study of 92 patients of working age with myofascial disorders in the shoulder area was pursued: study of the history of the disease, neurological examination, vertebral neurological, osteopathic examinations, study of the cytokine profile. As a result of this work, the interrelationships between clinical trial data and cytokine profile of patients were identified.
Conclusion. The obtained data of a comprehensive study indicate the systemic nature of the disorders in case of myofascial disorders, which should be taken into account when developing treatment and prophylactic measures.
Key words: myofascial pain syndrome in the shoulder joint area, cytokines, osteopathy, acupuncture, hirudotherapy.
