Characteristics of cardiac rhythm in conditionally healthy adolescent boys of pre-conscription age from Donetsk region

The article presents the results of a survey 547 male adolescents aged 15-16 y.o., who consulted in the clinic about the possibility to join sport clubs or enter an educational institution with a high level of physical activity. The comprehensive survey of the adolescents included collecting and analyzing of complaints, anamnesis data, clinical examination, conduct of general clinical, laboratory and instrumental studies (standard ECG, 24-hour Holter ECG monitoring). In 311 (56.9±2.1%) boys cardio-vascular lesions were detected; they underwent standard ECG, which showed cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders in 174 (63.0±2.9%) boys, which was confirmed by Holter ECG monitoring in 51 (9.3%) patients. The article presents a description of the identified changes.
