This article views the topical problem of peripheral nerves pathology – “carpal canal syndrome”, which occupies the sixth position among professional diseases. The aetiology and pathogenesis of the disease are revealed, with special attention to the frequency in risk groups. The basic diagnostic measures are described, as well as classical and new methods of treatment.
Key words: carpal canal syndrome, tunnel neuropathy, peripheral nerves pathology.
