During the 4-year study of 446 patients with axial spondyloarthritis (ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis in the presence of psoriasis), who at the beginning of the study had no clinical signs of heart disease, and of healthy individuals, there was studied the dynamics of cardiovascular diseases during spondylitis. There was found that at comparable factors of cardiovascular risk of coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation and diabetes in patients with psoriatic arthritis occur more frequently than in patients with ankylosing spondylitis and without spondyloarthritis. For the first time it was shown that cardiovascular morbidity in patients with axial lesions of the musculoskeletal system and psoriasis are comparable to patients with psoriatic arthritis.
Key words: spondylitis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular mortality.
